The Background

Honey & Willow is a small family workshop in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We make personalized wooden, heirloom keepsakes. Every board is stained by hand, every design is laser cut in our shop, and every detail is painted by hand before it leaves for your home.

We started four years ago at our kitchen table with one laser, a lot of sawdust, and a few ideas of pieces we wanted for our own family. Soon, friends started asking for pieces of their own, then their friends did, and the kitchen table stopped being big enough. Today we work out of a dedicated workshop behind our home. While the scale of our business changed, the way we work did not.

The Name

Honey is the people we love. It's what we call our kids, and it's the name of the street we lived on when this all began. Every piece we make is meant for someone's honey: a child, a spouse, a teacher, a whole family gathered around a tree.

Willow is growth. Willows are known for taking root in hard ground and coming back fuller every spring. This shop grew out of a season of loss for our family, and building it became part of finding our way forward. Willow reminds us that new beginnings can follow the hardest chapters, and that joy always has a way of returning.

Together, the name Honey and Willow is a promise about what we make: pieces rooted in love, made to grow with your family.

How Every Piece Is Made

Stained by hand. We don't buy pre-finished boards. Each one is stained in our workshop so the wood grain shows through in that warm, honey tone our customers recognize.

Laser cut in our shop. Your name, your date, your design, cut clean and precise on our own equipment. Nothing is outsourced.

Painted by hand. Lettering, numbers, and accents are finished by hand, one piece at a time. It's slower, and it's the part that makes each piece feel like it was made for you, because it was.

Made to order. We don't keep shelves of finished stock. Your piece is started when you order it, which means your family's name is on it from the very first step.

Why We Make What We Make

We're from Baton Rouge, and we make the kind of things we grew up with: the countdown calendar that gets pulled out the day after Thanksgiving, the stocking tags that hang in the same order every year, the milestone board that marks a first birthday and stays on the wall long after. Things that are a little whimsical, a little sentimental, and built to last.

We believe the best keepsakes aren't fancy. They're the ones that get used, seen and get passed along with a story attached. That's what we're making for you.
